Delphi Clea Sappho
Being born in to a family of artists, visual art has been second nature to Delphi since she was old enough to hold a crayon. Her mum (me) is a textile and a dancing artist (a Eurythmist), her dad studied art and has an innate and extraordinary gift in sculpture and painting, Her grandfather's and grandmother's oils adorned the walls of her family home, and they still do.
So studying art at a Melbourne art school was an obvious choice for her after leaving school. Making art is her joy, her solace, her recreation and her self expression.
In her mid-twenties, after many years of yoga and meditation including a training in Rishikesh, Delphi discovered that, like her mother, she yearned to study Eurythmy and this is her new direction in life. She found a most wonderful training in Brisbane Australia and is now in her second year of a 4 year, full time training.
Art is still her go-to and she is now ready to share her beautiful, colourful, vivid and radiant creations with the world.
Creating beautiful pieces for others to invest in and enjoy will accompany her Eurythmy journey, keep her painting on weekends, and will bring colour, life and beauty to others.
Living in Brisbane means living in tropical paradise, a childhood dream of Delphi's, and the flowers she sees every day are her inspiration. Her grandmother's artworks, also primarily flowers, have always been a source of huge influence and motivation.
The meditations for the days of the week by Rudolf Steiner are something we all work with and love to have in our daily lives. They are printed from the originals Delphi created and highlighted with Japanese gold pigment, Gansai Tambi.
All the other works are originals signed by her.
